- I have just installed NetBSD V1.0 and X11R6 on my A4000. My system consists
- of the following hardware.
-
- A4000 with WarpEngine040 33Mhz.
- 4MB fast ram on WarpEngine
- 2MB Fast rem on motherboard
- 2MB Chip RAM
- 1GB Fujitsu SCSI Hard Disk
-
- First of all when I start the X server I get the X mouse pointer and the X background.
- I can move my mouse for about a minute, then my system locks up. I am wondering
- if my system can see my swap partition. What can I type to show me that the
- system sees my swap partition.
-
- Also, when I start NetBSD I get a message that it sees the 4MB fast ram on my
- Warp Engine and the 2MB chip ram, but it does not see the 2MB fast ram on the
- motherboard. Do I have to force the kernel to see this ram address. Note, I am
- still using the Generic kernal that came with NetBSD 1.0.
-
- Thanks in advance.

- Best Wishes
